Otto Aguiar
A Brazilian native, Aguiar is best remembered for the tropical charm and
romance of his culture with his fashion and theatrical background. "I believe
that the most important gratification comes from those who are able to
perceive the joy and harmony expressed in my work."
Aguiar received his master's degree from the University of Fine Arts in Rio de
Janeiro and was later renowned for almost 15 years of paintings and murals
created for residential, public and corporate settings spanning several
continents. Aguiar's artistic achievements include many collaborations and
commissions such as: Graycliff Inn, Nassau, Bahamas; City Hall of Miami
Beach, Florida; Fedora Restaurants, Kansas City; Washington D.C. Lee
Memorial Health Park, Ft. Myers, Florida; and Aquarius International, Boca
Raton, Florida.
Delighting in embellishments of sumptuous colors, textures, and gilding,
Aguiar's works are a masterful integration of trompe l'oeil with a unique
figurative style. Aguiar has truly achieved the ultimate collection for every
environment and specification.
