Drew Gardner is an award-winning, London-based photographer.
His work is diverse with a strong narrative, encompassing group
portraiture to photographing beautiful and extraordinary people in
exotic locations. He has a burning passion for photography and
people; and, often lectures in advanced digital and lighting
techniques in the USA, Europe and the Middle East.
Drew's Epic Fashion exhibit will feature selected works from "The
Forest." Inspired by the realism and romance of the Pre-Raphaelite
art of the 1800's, this series explores our relationship with the
environment and sets out to challenge our perceptions of
seemingly 'dangerous' or 'safe' scenarios.
A limited number of these large-format, digital prints will be on
display and available for purchase. To preview Drew's Photography,

Beginning in July and through
the month of August , Susan
Benjamin Glass Etc. at 247 Main
Street in Safety Harbor will be
celebrating the exciting
medium of glass.
Throughout this long history of glassblowing, artists endured the
tremendous heat to coax beautiful forms from the fire using nothing
more than their breath and a few simple tools. Gallery hours for
Saturday's Opening are 10-3PM.
Susan's passion for glass has her traveling throughout the country
searching for the most unique and talented glass artists in the field.
The gallery will showcases the many styles of glass making. The designs
combine many different techniques, including carving, sandblasting,
tooling, cold working hand painting, hand textured, fused and blown.
On display is the extraordinary work of artist James Nowak who has
worked with some of the master's in glass like Dale Chihuly and Dante
Morioni. James incorporates new materials along with traditional
Murano techniques like filligrane canes and murrini segments giving
the work a contemporary flair with classical roots. The surfaces of
Nowak's blown vessels, torsos and paperweights are alive with baroque
designs and hidden surprises. The gallery is proud to represent many
women glass artists like well known Susan Gott who does cast glass,
Debra May; who's intricate carved designs take precision and precise
control.
On going thru the day videos by well known artists Josh Simpson,
Randi Solin and Jeffrey P'an will be shown . A great opportunity to
have a peak into the artist's studio to see how these beautiful
creations are made.

Goli Mahallati’s triumphant spirit and newly found freedom to express
herself is evident in her paintings by the proud stateliness of her
independent figures, the emotional connection between couples
and joyous gatherings of friends. She was strongly impacted by her
multi-cultural surroundings as a young girl raised in Persia. Leaving
her birthplace to seek opportunities that were not in accord to
young women under an ultra-conservative government, Goli settled in
Massachusetts where she earned a MA degree. She currently lives in
California where she devotes herself to painting.
As art conveys emotions and feelings universal and personal to an
artist, Goli’s work also expresses our individuality and ability to
overcome all obstacles, hoping for a world in which all people
express themselves freely. Her figures are a reflection of her own
journey to light and freedom achieved by her determination not to
accept limitations imposed by others. This is a strength that reaches
out to us when one views her artwork.
Her most recent originals are constantly evolving, enriched by the
use of earth tones combined with brighter hues. She paints with a
palette knife to create textured canvases from which abstracts and
human forms emerge. Goli uses rejoicing figures and birds of
different colors in her compositions in order to symbolize freedom.
Goli’s artwork has struck a popular cord amongst private collectors
and galleries making her recent one-woman artist shows and New
York Art Expo debut popular and successful. Her images are
exemplary of kinship and admiration for the beauty, nobility and
dignity of the human spirit and form.
The collection will be on display for a limited time only, June 26 through August 28, 2010
